History
This BMW M535 was built to Group 2 regulations in 1981 by Willie Martini at his BMW workshop in Nurburg, with all the components from his previous Group 2 CSL fitted to this E12 body. Martini built the car to be mechanically steadfast and over the years it has risen up to the challenge. With its 3.5L engine running on triple 45 DCOE Weber sidedraught carbs, this car is not only reliable, but a speeding bullet as well!
This M535 was raced extensively in endurance and VLN races, with notable results including 10th outright in the 1982 ADAC 1000km race, and driven by F1 aspirants Christian Danner and Giovanna Amati in the 24 hr race in 1985. After 1986 it was stored at Adenau. Walloth & Nesch recommissioned it in 2002, and a new owner raced it every year until it was bought by the current owner in 2015. Since then it has raced successfully in series such as Peter Auto HTC, MRL, YTCC, and Tourenwagen Golden Era. It has been developed to make it consistently fast, low maintenance, and ultra reliable, whilst remaining fully compliant with Group 2 regulations. The bodywork is highly original with lovely patina and original period stickers.

Specs
Throughout the years, this BMW has been well maintained while competing regularly. The 3453cc dry sump engine was built by Laranca Engineering with a new block and new CNC ported head producing approximately 350 bhp.  The gearbox is a BMW Motorsport close ratio Getrag and the Bilstein Suspension is professionally setup. Wheels are 16” Alpina (3 sets) and the car comes with a comprehensive spares package. The spares package includes moulds for the spoiler and arches, LSD, spot lights, brake pads, etc. Lastly, the HTP is current, and the complete documented event history of the car (photos, videos, press articles) along with the original Wagenpass will be provided.
